About Labels

Every window and door that we produce comes with a number of different labels associated to that individual product. Each label contains information specific to that individual unit, ranging from product specs and performance, to manufacturing information and shipping location. All of this information is useful for identifying that the products you receive are the products that you ordered and for understanding thermal performance as well as inputting warranty information. While we manufacture thousands of windows weekly, the information on the product labels help us keep track of units through the production process and for years after it is installed in your home.

The warranty label is one of the most important labels on our windows and doors. It is basically the product’s license plate and contains a variety of important information such as: order number, manufacturing date, product line, product style, measurements and the distributor it was purchased from. In the event that you have an issue with your Viwinco products, we will need the information on the warranty label to verify the status of the warranty and reference the order. With this information, we can then process a remake or ship replacement parts. This is why it is important to not remove the warranty label!

Here you can find your products U-Factor, Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC), Visible light Transmittance, and air leakage. Some of the ratings will fluctuate based upon product type, the type of glass being used, vinyl profile, and glass package. Thermal performance will also vary by location, since different glass packages are used in the north and the south.
