How to Operate Your Viwinco Casement Window

Viwinco Casement windows are designed with performance and ease of use in mind. Featuring full-sash ventilation, a multipoint lock for a snug, secure seal, and a folding handle that cleanly tucks away; casement windows offer a combination of airflow, security, and streamlined style for any home. This guide walks you through locking, opening, and screen removal for your casement window.

Opening and Closing Your Window

To operate your casement, start by unlocking the window. Then, lift the crank handle and turn. The end of the handle spins freely for easy, one-handed operation.

Turn the crank counterclockwise to open the window, and clockwise to close it. Once closed, be sure that your window is locked.

OceanView Impact Resistant windows must be locked to provide full impact protection.

Removing and Replacing the Screen

To remove the screen, gently pull the four corner pegs to release the screen from the frame. To replace the screen, slide the left edge into the frame. Then, pull and press each peg to secure it. For more help with the casement window screen, see our full screen operation guide here.

Casements add impressive thermal performance and ventilation to any project. Find a Viwinco dealer through our Where to Buy page and add casements to your next project!
