How to Adjust Your Viwinco Casement Window
Your casement window works hard to keep your home comfortable, beautiful, and secure. Over time, the sash may shift slightly, making it difficult to close properly or leave visible gaps between the sash and frame. The good news? A simple adjustment is usually all it takes to get things working properly.
When Should You Adjust Your Casement Window?
Your casement window may need adjustment if:
- The sash does not close properly
- You can see visible gaps between the sash and the frame when the window is closed.
Supplies Needed:

- Viwinco Casement Window Adjustment Tool (Flat Wrench)
To request an adjustment tool, email Viwinco customer service at customercare@viwinco.com
Step 1: Adjust the Bottom Hinge Pin
Start at the bottom hinge pin. Using the adjustment tool, turn the pin to raise or lower the sash.
- Turn left (toward the lock) to tilt the sash.
- Turn right (away from the lock) to lower the sash.
Step 2: Adjust the Top Hinge Pin
Once the bottom hinge pin is set, move to the top hinge pin and make additional adjustments until the sash is properly aligned within the frame.
Step 3: Confirm the Adjustment
Once the sash sits firmly and evenly in the frame with no gaps, the adjustment is complete. Close and lock the window to check if the window is sealed properly on all sides.
