Patio Door Spotlight
One of the most transformative products you can add to a home is a sliding patio door. Not only do these exterior doors enhance the look of the space, they also improve the natural flow of the home. To coincide with other Viwinco products, our patio doors are highly customizable and can be designed to fit nearly any architectural style. If you are looking to add a patio door to your next project, see the content below to learn why you should consider Viwinco patio doors.
Benefits of a Viwinco Patio Door
Installing a patio door in your home provides several benefits. One of the most apparent being increasing the amount of natural light within your home. Large glass lites allow natural light to flood the space, which has been proven to provide a number of benefits including a positive impact on mental health and reduced need for artificial lighting, resulting in lower energy costs.
Another notable benefit is enhancing the blended indoor-outdoor lifestyle. Sliding patio doors allow homeowners to enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding landscape from the comfort of their homes. Additionally, they enhance the flow within the home, by providing a seamless connection to the outdoors.

Designing the Perfect Patio Door
Viwinco patio doors are built to perform and meet the needs of the homeowner. One of the best parts of choosing a Viwinco patio door is that it is fully customizable, allowing you to design the perfect patio door. That being said, the idea of a perfect door can vary by project, so it is important to understand the available options.
Viwinco Glass Package
One option that sets Viwinco patio doors apart from the competition is our glass package. Our standard glass package is comprised of a 1” tempered, double-strength insulated glass unit (IGU), with a Low-E coating, filled with argon gas and sealed with an energy–efficient spacer system, resulting in premium thermal efficiency. Tempered glass—commonly known as safety glass—shatters into small, rounded cubes instead of shards, making it a safer option when used in large glass units or in high traffic areas. Additionally, Viwinco patio doors are available in the OceanView impact-resistant product line. Our OceanView doors include our laminated glass package and are designed to withstand some of nature’s harshest conditions. These doors can be found all along the Eastern coast and throughout hurricane-prone markets.

Configuration is Key
When choosing a patio door, one of the most important things to consider is the configuration. Viwinco patio doors are available in 2-lite, 3-lite or 4-panel configurations. This factor, will in part be determined by the size of the rough opening you are looking to install the door in. In addition to configuration, you should also consider the handing options, to determine which way your door opens. This will ensure the door operates the way you envision it to. Our doors are also available as assembled patio doors, or as knock-down doors for easy transportation and installation at the jobsite!
If you need additional configurations, the Viwinco 650 Multitrack Door is a great solution. Exclusive to the southern markets (North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama and Florida)—the 650 door expands the available door configurations from 2-panel 2-track, all the way up to a 4-panel 4-track door. The 650 door is also available in pocket door applications, allowing it to disappear seamlessly into the wall when fully opened.
Patio Door Colors, Options and Accessories
Viwinco offers a variety of colors, options and accessories to allow homeowners to create a truly personalized door. Our patio door colors include white, tan, or clay solid extrusions, and midnight black or bronze exterior laminates. For our exterior laminates, the interior of the door is white. Our 650 door is currently only available in white. Regarding options and accessories, some features available on our patio doors include: grids between the glass, simulated divided lites (SDLs), trim casing, jamb extensions, blinds between the glass, and a heavy-duty moose screen. Customization can also be expanded when mulling window units such as geometric windows, transoms or sidelites to our patio doors. This is a great way to add personalization and increase natural light within the home.
